Today was our last day of Mission Impossible. The Boys showed great resiliency and hard work in their efforts to pass the course - but no one did this year! It was truly an impossible mission.

February 7th

This week we started Mission Impossible! The Boys have shown great resilience in their repeated attempts to successfully complete the mission - but no one has succeeded yet!

Next week is a short week, and we're continuing with Mission Impossible up to Teachers' Convention on Thursday.

January 10th

Welcome back! Students spent this week learning different exercises that they could use in workouts. We learned standard exercises, like pushups, squats, and crunchies, and combined them into different games and activities - such as partner tag.

On Wednesday, students followed a video yoga class. For Division 1 students, we used a video from a Youtube channel called Cosmic Kids Yoga. They have many kid-focussed yoga videos, and they often tell a story along with the yoga instruction. Check them out at this link: https://www.youtube.com/user/CosmicKidsYoga.

Next week, we'll continue to focus on exercise, and the older students may have an opportunity to create their own workout program!

December 6th

Welcome to the new PE blog!

This week, students started learning about lacrosse. They learned important skills such as scooping, passing, catching, cradling, and parts of the lacrosse stick. A highlight for the grade 5/6 class was having a guest instructor - Jacob, one of the students in the class!

Next week, we'll continue on with lacrosse.
